It’s no secret that we are in a huge skilled worker shortage across the United States. The demand for skilled workers continues to increase every year while workforce numbers continue to drop. In a recent survey from the US Chamber of Commerce, they report that 94% of construction companies need to hire more workers in the next 6 months. With the increase in AI, drones, and other technology, can that be the answer?
Blue Fin has taken a shot at how they feel we can solve this skills gap as an industry. But it’s not an easy task. However, they believe the answer lies somewhere in the middle, blending the old school and new school approaches. They’ve have broken down the skills shortage issue into three components:
