Paycheck Protection Program Saves Construction Jobs

More than 44% of the construction companies in the United States received Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) support that applied for the program. However, after receiving help from the program, many construction company’s soon found many of their contracts for jobs being postponed or canceled. Additionally, many company’s have stated that their projects are running behind schedule due to supplier delays and subcontractors being late or canceling entirely.

A recent article from For Construction Pros writes, “This program has already delivered funds to nearly half of the survey respondents, and many of them have already brought back furloughed workers or added employees, even though more clients are halting and canceling projects.”
